Volunteer Application

CONTRIBUTE AND SUCCEED! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer. If you are interested in contributing to the success of the CDMS credential, serving on a committee is a good way to make an impact. We want you as part of the team!

Volunteer service can range from participating in an Item Development Workshop, where you help to write questions for the CDMS Exam, participating in Education Writing Workshops, to serving on a committee.

Issues opinions regarding the interpretation and application of the CDMS Code of Professional Conduct, oversees investigations, and rules on cases involving alleged violations, maintaining strict confidentiality.
Item writing, review, and approval for the CDMS Exam, review and approval of the practice exam, maintaining strict confidentiality, availability to travel for 1-2 face to face meetings per year, regular and consistent participation in meetings.
Have you ever held a professional license or certification that was revoked, suspended, voluntarily relinquished, or placed on probation, or otherwise been disciplined by a professional licensure or certification body?

  1. Computer access and ability to receive email and download files.
  2. Fax accessibility for both sending and receiving.
  3. Ability to participate in conference calls with the possibility of limited travel.
  4. Committee assignments must be completed in a timely manner prior to conference calls and/or meetings. Most work is conducted via conference call or email.
  5. Committee appointment is for a term of one year.
  6. Approximately 40-50 hours of voluntary service is required per year.
  7. Independent and group skills required.
